Release Notes

version 1.1 UPDATED - Added Filter mode.

Extends the SP QuickLaunch control to provide a richer experience. Configure it to transform the QuickLaunch into an Accordion, a set of collapsible/expandable panels (Adds scrollbar per panel if height limit is specified and exceeded), or a real-time filterable list. Uses jQuery.

Installation

To use, download and add the WSP to your farm using stsadm and deploy it to your web application. Go to Site Collection Features and activate the Feature called "QuickLaunchExtender".

To configure QuickLaunchExtender, as a site collection administrator you should go to top level Site Settings and click the link called "QuickLaunchExtender" under Site Collection Administration.

Note

If you wish to use SharePoint QuickLaunchExtender alongside SharePoint InlineSiteSettings (http://www.codeplex.com/inlinesitesettings), then you should turn off the option "jQuery auto referencing" on SharePoint QuickLaunchExtender using the QuickLaunchExtender configuration page.

It's a great solution. It's very useful! Thank you very much

Very cool! I too would like to see it configured/enabled on a per site basis instead of the whole site collection. It would also be pretty cool to combine some options like expand/collapse and filter at the same time.

Its such a delight to download software that installs first time and does exactly as promised. As per the previous poster it would be great if it could be configured on a site level to give greater flexibility but thats only a luxury- thanks!

This is a great add-on to SharePoint - no doubt. One small point of disappointment was to find out it had to be implemented one way on a global basis - You can't set different sites to use different Quick Launch options that this offers.
